William joined Oxford Innovation in January 2011 as a Business Coach and Advisor on the Grow Cornwall programmes specialising in general management, technology and leadership / personal development.
From Glasgow, William moved to Cornwall in 1969 and trained with Cable and Wireless in telecoms and technology. From there to Bermuda, Belgium and Bahrain, in technology management and development. He then joined Reuters Tech Management, moving to the Dubai covering UAE and Oman, then to Cairo – responsible for the East Med countries, including Libya and Lebanon – then to Switzerland, Reuters’ largest business outside UK, as Technical and Quality Manager.
William was MD of Reuters Greece for five years, guiding the business to treble the turnover and profit by exploiting his extensive experience. He then moved back to the UK and joined Perot Systems, running global teams in a major outsource at UBS, the Swiss Investment bank.
William continued in technology development and management roles, running various companies’ business units while at the same time training as a coach in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) where he is a certified Master Business Practitioner. William’s experience with the mind game in sports, personal improvement, presentation skills and business coaching add to his knowledge of successful national and international business working practice.
