STEVE LORING

Having graduated as an Industrial Designer Steve’s career started as a software developer working for NatWest / RBS ensuring that the work management systems were Y2K compliant. He then joined British Airways as a developer on their Customer Transaction databases and progressed to Senior Capacity and Performance Analyst monitoring BA’s data warehouse.
Steve then joined the company’s Process and Business Analyst programme as a Process Designer working on the transition of ground operations from Heathrow Terminals 1,3 and 4 into T5. He went on to become part of the airline’s Lean CI Centre of Excellence working with various teams from different areas of the organisation helping them to apply Lean Thinking to drive out wastes from their processes to increase efficiencies and productivity.
In 2017 Steve joined National Grid System Operator as an Improvement Specialist, helping to embed Performance Excellence practices. He also worked with teams to help them redesign their processes and help drive cost efficiencies within the Electricity National Control Centre and System Outage Planners.
Steve is now Oxford Innovation Cornwall’s Productivity Coach. He works with start-ups and SMEs to help identify areas for improvement and increased productivity.
