On leaving College, Bev worked for a number of businesses in London, Brighton and Cornwall primarily in a bilingual capacity or as a translator before leaving to work in Geneva, Switzerland at the international organisation CERN, the home of the Large Hadron Collider.
Bev joined Pirate FM in 1994, initially as a Sales Executive before quickly progressing to the roles of Sales Manager, Sales Director and then Managing Director in 2001. Under Bev’s leadership, Pirate FM became one of the most successful and profitable commercial radio stations in the UK and won the Sony Gold award for radio station of the year (audience of between 300,000 and one million) on two occasions.
